Part-time Teacher/Guide at Rose & Buds Playschool

Who are we?
We are a small private, progressive, nature-based playschool in east/central Austin. We serve 2—5 year olds at a 10 student capacity.
Who are you?
You are passionate about child-led learning, Montessori/Reggio Emilia/ Waldorf methodologies and have taught using one or more of these styles. You are passionate about community, diversity and inclusion, and building a safe, nurturing, loving environment for our students. Your teaching styles focus on compassion, caring for others, for nature, and the earth. You are creative, highly self-motivated, and can transition quickly/easily with the students’ always changing energies. You have taught this age, but are looking for something part-time, for a work/life balance.
Requirements:
B/A or M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education or similar studies a plus,
However, equally valuable is your professional experience teaching in public or private school setting with a 12-children class size.

Responsibilities
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to students' needs and abilities.
- Utilize effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Stay updated on educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
