A Field Technician I Pump Division is responsible for repairs and maintenance of the company s fleet of large dewatering pumps. This is a field-based position for technicians with 1-3 years of mechanical experience with diesel engines.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems on dewatering pumps safely.
- Document detailed work activities and labor hours in work orders.
- Able to drive a one ton or larger vehicle.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Must be able to read and understand repair manuals & equipment schematics.
- Examine parts for damage and/or excessive wear.
- Testing of repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiently.
- Complete preventative maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- A minimum 1-3 years of experience as a diesel engine technician
- Must be people-oriented with the ability to build business relationships.
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are needed.
- Read, write, & speak clearly in English.
- Proficient aptitude for mobile technology (smartphones and tablets)
- The ability to work independently and with indirect oversight.
- Compliance with all regulatory & company regulations and policies
- Must be able to work overtime weekly, as needed.
- Must have basic set of tools needed to complete a variety of tasks.
