Job Summary
The Boutique/Retail Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day store operations, including merchandising & seasonal planning, inventory control, selecting ordering, scheduling, training & supervising a range of 3-8 store employees adjusted seasonally. The store manager will have an assistant to help with sceduling/overseeing day to day tasks of employees. The Store Manager is also responsible for all controllable expenses, to include staffing labor, cash management, inventory control, and store supplies. The
Store manager will work closely with Owner & Operations Manager on seasonal inventory management to include creative vision for the store displays, timely scheduling of the seasonal shifts, movement of inventory, and store layout for displays. The store manager will work closely with the Senior Store Leads & Assistant Manager on merchandising and display of various product lines.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate team to achieve and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Lead Merchandising and organizing seasonal product & orders
- Process back-end inventory management for incoming orders and current stock
- Ensure day-to-day operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory control to include ordering, receiving, and monitoring for damages to always ensure accuracy in inventory levels.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner striving to resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, and personal development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Maintain the Store Point of Sale (POS) Manual and ensure all store staff is trained to latest best practices.
- Ensure that the store is maintained as a clean, organized and visually appealing environment that reflects Churchill’s brand.
Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in retail store management
- Strong Leadership skills and the ability to motivate the team.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, other managers, and customers.
- Detailed oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management.
- Must have a broad understanding of Microsoft suite technologies, particularly an advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Must be flexible and embrace change.
- Must have experience in Merchandising and Store display in a Boutique store setting.
- Must understand the fundamentals of the operations of a small business.
- Must be able to work on weekends and holidays.
- Must have Positive and “Get it done” attitude.
- Be able to lift weight/move items up to 50lbs.
- Able to be on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
Job Type: Full-time (9-5pm) including 1 weekend day and most holidays. Year Round
Experience:
- Store management experience: consecutive 5+ years
- Customer Service/Retail/Merchandising: consecutive 5+ years
- Inventory Management
- Gardening/Nursery Sales (Preferred)
- Excel and Microsoft 5+ years
