Kanpai is hiring the following positions:
-Host/Hostess
Kanpai is a sushi restaurant located in Historic Third Ward (408 E Chicago St, Milwaukee).
An ideal candidate should be a positive individual with punctuality, strong multi-tasking skills, and a desire to provide unsurpassed hospitality.
Qualifications:
- Must be available to work on Friday and Saturday dinner shifts (mandatory) and 2-3 weekday shifts, prefer someone who has a flexible schedule.
- Great guest relation skills and communication skills
- Strong organization skills with the ability to monitor the dining area and takeout orders
- Ability to meet restaurant uniform and grooming standards and maintain during shifts
- Good physical condition to stay standing/walking for 4-5 hours
- A positive individual who can work well in a team environment
- Previous host/hostess experience is preferred (experience with Opentable, UberEats, DoorDash) but not required
Job Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Manage reservations
- Seat guests and manage the seating chart
- Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Performs opening and closing duties, as needed
- Answer incoming calls
- Manage carryout and third-party delivery (Uber Eats, DoorDash) orders
- Assist wait staff as needed
