Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and Licensed Phlebotomy Technician (LPT) to join our compassionate healthcare team. Your expertise will support patient assessments, medication administration, IV infusions, and specialized care for individuals with complex medical needs. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations including specimen collection, processing, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and infection control policies.
- Manage airway care, ventilator support, tube feedings, and assist with complex procedures like spinal taps or cardiac catheterizations as needed.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
- Assist with discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or hospice care services.
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and document all patient interactions thoroughly.
Qualifications
- Valid LVN license and LPT certification required; current state licensure in good standing.
- Demonstrated experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers preferred.
- Strong background in medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine; experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in performing venipuncture (phlebotomy), injection administration, sterile technique, and specimen processing.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology related to pain management and acute care procedures.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus; familiarity with long-term care regulations is beneficial.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $40.00 - $47.00 per hour
