The Preschool Gymnastics Instructor is responsible for providing excellent developmental gymnastics instruction in a safe and fun environment. The Preschool Gymnastics Instructor participates in all aspects of our gymnastics programs and helps to carry out our vision. The Preschool Gymnastics Instructor is responsible to learn and implement lesson plans, participate and contribute to curriculum reviews, provide individual student progress, student assessment, student recognition, and communication with parents. The Preschool Gymnastics Teacher is expected to establish and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships and to forthrightly communicate with customers and the general manager. Most importantly, the Preschool Gymnastics Instructor is responsible for following practices that promote safety, quality, and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- General knowledge of child development and milestones for children ages 6month to 6 years of age.
- Interest in learning preschool gymnastics teaching techniques
- Strong personal interest in physical activity and the ability to demonstrate basic physical movements.
- Excellent teaching skills and ability to achieve positive and measurable results in the gym;
- Optimistic and positive approach to the role and responsibilities of the Preschool Gymnastics Instructor;
- Ability to work happily and effectively with a diverse group of students and families;
- Ability to influence peers and superiors in a positive way;
- Excellent cooperative nature and desire to facilitate managers' responsibilities including growth of the program, quality, scheduling, operations, etc.
- Superior interactive skills and experience working with children, parents and the public.
- One day of Weekend availability is required.
Desired Qualifications
- 2 - 4 years experience teaching in a preschool gymnastics environment- Desired but not necessary
- 2 - 4 years experience or education lending to knowledge of early childhood physical, cognitive and social development.
- Current Pediatric CPR Certification and Current Pediatric First Aid Certification- or willingness to get certified.
- 6 Early Childhood Education Units- Preferred but not necessay
