Remote LPN – Patient Call Center / Nurse Coordinator
Contract Role: 90 days
Schedule: Full-Time | 8-Hour Shift | Monday–Friday
Required: Active LPN License + Call Center/High-Volume Phone Experience
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a remote patient support team as a Nurse Coordinator.
This is a 100% telephone- and computer-based position focused on speaking with patients and caregivers who have expressed interest in participating in clinical research studies. The Nurse Coordinator will conduct inbound and outbound calls, provide study-related information, ask structured screening questions, determine preliminary eligibility, and accurately document each interaction.
What You'll Do
- Make outbound calls and receive inbound calls from patients and caregivers interested in participating in clinical research studies.
- Provide clear and professional information regarding specific research opportunities using approved scripts and procedures.
- Conduct structured patient screenings to determine preliminary eligibility based on established study criteria.
- Compare patient-provided information against specific eligibility requirements.
- Follow established scripts, workflows, and procedures while maintaining a natural and compassionate patient interaction.
- Practice active listening and ask appropriate follow-up questions to confirm or clarify information.
- Navigate multiple computer systems while speaking with patients by phone.
- Accurately enter patient information and document conversations in an online system in real time.
- Maintain clear, complete, and professional documentation of patient interactions.
- Identify situations requiring escalation and follow established escalation procedures.
- Protect patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Complete all required company, client, compliance, and study-specific training.
- Meet established standards for call quality, documentation accuracy, productivity, attendance, and schedule adherence.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Previous professional experience in a call center, contact center, telephonic nursing, patient support center, or other high-volume telephone-based environment.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to talk with patients while simultaneously navigating software and entering information accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
Candidates with LPN experience but no professional call center, telephonic patient support, or comparable high-volume phone experience may not be the best fit for this particular role.
