Forge Industries is looking for an Energy Sales Retail Associate to be the face of our renewable energy campaign — someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, connects easily with people, and knows how to turn a conversation into a commitment. Whether you're working a retail floor or running a community event, you'll be the reason customers choose clean energy and the reason they remember our name.
As an Energy Sales Retail Associate, your days won't look the same twice. You'll be out in the field - engaging consumers at retail locations and live events - educating them on renewable energy products and walking them through the decision to make the switch. Your work directly drives new customer acquisition and builds brand recognition across the region.
Day to day, you can expect to:
- Represent the Forge Industries brand with confidence and authenticity at retail settings and community events throughout the Fort Wayne area
- Engage and qualify prospective customers through genuine, consultative conversations
- Clearly communicate the value of renewable energy solutions in a way that makes sense to everyday consumers
- Guide customers through the sales process from initial interest to closed agreement
- Track your activity and results, contributing to team targets and reporting on pipeline progress
- Partner with your team and leadership to refine messaging and improve the customer experience in the field
The strongest candidates will bring:
- A proven track record in sales, customer-facing roles, or business development (direct-to-consumer or field sales experience is a plus)
- The ability to work independently in dynamic, sometimes unpredictable environments and still hit your numbers
- Genuine enthusiasm for renewable energy and sustainability - or a strong desire to learn
- Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to initiate conversations with strangers
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work weekends and event-based schedules as needed
- A growth mindset - you take feedback well, adapt quickly, and always look for ways to get better
