We are a busy, patient-centered primary care practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare. We are seeking an experienced Medical Front Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in/out patients with a welcoming and professional attitude.
- Answer and manage a multi-line phone system.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics.
- Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
- Scan, upload, and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
- Coordinate patient flow with providers and clinical staff.
- Respond to patient questions and resolve front office concerns professionally.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of medical front office or medical receptionist experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills and experience with EMR/EHR systems.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Preferred:
- Primary care experience.
- Insurance verification and referral processing experience.
- Athena EMR
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
