At Provincial Store Fixtures, we don’t just build architectural millwork — we create stunning, functional spaces that combine craftsmanship, technology, and precision. We’re looking for a Millwork Drafting Engineer who shares our passion for detail and design excellence.
In this role, you’ll turn concepts and drawings into reality by producing highly detailed blueprints to be used by our production teams. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, programmers, and production staff to ensure every project — from wall paneling and cabinetry to doors and moldings — is perfectly designed, fully detailed, and ready for fabrication.
What You’ll Do
- Take full responsibility for the accuracy, clarity, and completeness of your drawings and documentation.
- Design with precision: Use AutoCAD (2D/3D) and Microvellum to create detailed production drawings, including cut lists, flat layouts, and sequence layouts.
- Collaborate for success: Work alongside Project Managers, Programmers, and Manufacturing teams to deliver projects efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Interpret and translate: Read and understand architectural drawings, site photos, and measurements, transforming them into build-ready millwork designs.
- Refine and perfect: Review redlines, confirm design intent, and ensure every submission meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Document with clarity: Maintain organized notes, calculations, and bills of materials within our ERP system to keep projects on track.
What You Bring
- Industry Experience: 5+ years in architectural millwork drafting or engineering, with a strong understanding of custom woodwork production.
- Technical Expertise:
- AutoCAD proficiency (5+ years required)
- Microvellum, SolidWorks, or SWOOD experience is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Craftsmanship Knowledge: Background in carpentry or cabinetmaking is a strong asset, along with familiarity in materials, hardware, joinery, and AWMAC standards.
- Attention to Detail: You have a sharp eye for precision and accuracy — every line, cut, and dimension matters.
- Independent & Driven: Capable of managing your own time, taking initiative, and working with minimal supervision.
- Strong Communicator: Clear, organized, and collaborative across all levels of the organization.
