Join our Fine Dining team as a Host and become a vital part of delivering exceptional guest experiences in a lively, upscale dining environment. As a Host, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing attentive service, sharing your culinary and beverage knowledge, and creating memorable moments for every guest. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality skills while working in a vibrant, fast-paced setting that values energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they walk in.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine knowledge and cocktail options, to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards; upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Process cash transactions and credit card payments accurately, including handling cash handling procedures and sales transaction processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing any concerns promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Experience
- Previous fine dining service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Menu SIFU, MICROS, Toast; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service enhances your ability to upsell effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations is essential for success in this role.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately, along with familiarity with food preparation or kitchen experience is advantageous.
