Veterinary Assistant / Technician / RVT
Job Description: Our veterinary practice is looking for a motivated relief Veterinary Assistant / Technician / RVT who is eager to learn and grow in the veterinary field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians during exams and procedures
- Restrain animals safely and humanely
- Perform laboratory tests, radiology, and anesthesia monitoring
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and preventive medicine
- Support patient care and clinic flow
Qualifications:
- Previous veterinary or animal handling experience required
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to lift and handle animals safely
