Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair gasoline and diesel marine engines.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and seasonal service.
- Repair and maintain electrical, hydraulic, steering, cooling, fuel, and propulsion systems.
- Install, replace, and rig marine equipment and accessories.
- Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Perform engine installations, repowers, and other major repair projects.
- Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain accurate repair records and communicate findings with the service team.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Marine Mechanic, Marine Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or similar mechanical position.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of gasoline and/or diesel engines.
- Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
