We are seeking a qualified and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our growing team in our Colorado Springs and Olathe, KS office. ROLES
- Jobsite Safety leadership; proactive investigation of Code Compliance and AHJ Requirements
- Lead coordination of project budget, commitments, and cost control
- Lead coordination of construction schedule development and updates
- Monitor, analyze, and report overall project status and risk
- Marketing & Building Owner, Architect, and Consultant relationships
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Interns
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support preconstruction and bidding efforts including takeoffs, bid leveling, scope alignment, and handoff meetings
- Review Prime Contract documents and identify scope gaps, risks, and contractual obligations
- Lead project setup in Procore including project controls, documentation, and directory maintenance
- Coordinate insurance and bonding requirements with Project Manager
- Lead project startup, Owner, Architect, Contractor, subcontractor, and preinstallation meetings and documentation
- Independently manage RFIs and Submittals including schedule and cost impact analysis
- Maintain master control of Construction Documents and ensure updates are distributed
- Manage commitments, Change Events, PCCOs, and CCOs and ensure proper approvals
- Lead schedule updates, recovery planning, weather documentation, and weekly reporting
- Perform regular job-site visits to observe progress, safety, quality, and cleanliness
- Identify and resolve code, quality, and constructability issues
- Lead collection and review of all project closeout documentation and punch list tracking
SKILLS & EXPIERENCE
- 5–10+ years of experience in Commercial Construction or related trades
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- High proficiency with Procore and construction scheduling software
- Ability to independently manage complex scopes of work
- Commitment to safe, on-time, and profitable project delivery
- OSHA 30 certified or ability to obtain
AUTHORITY LIMITS:
- Acts with delegated authority from the Project Manager
- Leads and mentors Project Engineers and Interns
- Reports to Project Manager / Operations Manager / Executive Leadership
