Full-Time, FLSA Non-exempt position Salary: $41,696 - $62,544 annually

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- High School Diploma or G.E.D., and two (2) years facilities maintenance/construction experience,
or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Certification to handle Freon is required.
- Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
Must successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-employment drug
screening.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responds to daily maintenance requests by City departments; performs maintenance and repair work
including replacing broken windows, changing lighting fixtures/ballasts/photo cells, replacing air conditioning
filters, and repairing malfunctioning toilets and sinks; performs minor painting tasks as required. Performs
various construction and maintenance functions to help ensure the structural safety of City buildings and
facilities including framing, installing windows, repairing the placement and setting of doors, installing
drywall, and repairing/refurbishing roof tops. Provides placement and maintenance of equipment within City
buildings; ensures the accurate construction and piecing of equipment. Performs routine maintenance on
various types of equipment including ice machines. Installs and replaces air conditioning and heating units;
maintains and schedules servicing of cooling and heating units. Performs maintenance and repair of facilities
and building lighting; replaces old wiring, removes and replaces inoperable electrical boxes, changes fuses
and breakers, installs wiring for park ramadas. Coordinates and performs plumbing work including trenching
for water and sewer lines. Plans and implements construction and remodeling designs for City buildings and
facilities; conducts research regarding project costs. Constructs additions and/or remodels established
buildings; monitors projects for compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. Coordinates
and conducts work on concrete projects; creates foundations for rehabilitation projects, basketball courts,
and park ramadas; constructs handicap access ramps. Places sun screens around City swimming pool
grounds; monitors and maintains quality of water in swimming pool. Repairs and maintains lighting at Little
League Park facilities. Provides maintenance assistance during City recreation special events including
assembling/disassembling entertainment stage, constructing park ramadas utilized during functions, and
ensuring the availability of adequate electrical and water systems to vendors and entertainers.
