As a Mori Saw Operator, you will help keep production moving safely and efficiently by operating the Mori saw, coordinating daily cutting priorities, maintaining the saw building, and supporting production maintenance activities when needed.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
You’ll play a vital role in our Mori Saw and threading operations by:
- Operating the Mori saw in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and production requirements.
- Cutting pipe accurately to meet job specifications, customer requirements, and production schedules.
- Completing required equipment checks, setups, inspections, and operational documentation.
- Maintaining the qualifications and training required to operate the saw safely and effectively.
- Taking ownership of Mori Saw equipment through deep cleaning, routine inspections, basic maintenance, and timely reporting of equipment concerns.
- Attending daily Level 1 meetings with the Mori Threading production team.
- Coordinating daily cutting priorities and schedules across Tuboscope, Quality Assurance, Mori Threading, and PMC Threading.
- Communicating schedule changes and production needs to prevent delays and maintain an efficient workflow.
- Adjusting priorities based on production demands and customer requirements.
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and 5S compliance throughout the Mori Saw building.
- Identifying and resolving housekeeping concerns while supporting continuous improvement in organization and workflow.
- Assisting as a Production Maintenance Technician when saw operations are not required.
- Performing general maintenance and support work in the Mori and PMC buildings, including welding, painting, fabrication, equipment upkeep, and minor repairs as assigned.
- Stepping into a Level 1 Operations role during staffing shortages or operational outages within the Mori and PMC buildings.
- Providing flexible support to maintain production continuity and meet operational needs.
What You Bring
We’re looking for candidates who are sharp, safety-focused, and ready to roll up their sleeves:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Qualification and training to operate industrial saw equipment, or the ability to obtain the required qualification.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Basic mechanical aptitude; experience in production or maintenance work is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to understand and accurately execute instructions.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and communicate effectively.
- Strong ownership, organization, and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, teamwork, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Willingness to adjust priorities and support operations as business needs require.
