As a delivery Truck Driver and warehouse associate you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting Slabs and materials to various destinations. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our Slabs reach customers on time while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements. And work in the warehouse to arrange slabs using a forklift and load customer vehicles with slabs when they pickup materials/slabs
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safe Operation: Operate company-owned trucks and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.
2. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure it properly to prevent damage during transit.
3. Delivery: Transport goods to assigned destinations while adhering to delivery schedules and ensuring the integrity of the cargo.
4. Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts, logbooks, and inspection reports accurately and in a timely fashion.
5. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition. Report any issues or repairs needed promptly.
6. Communication: Maintain effective communication with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise during transportation.
7. Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of materials.
8. Warehouse Work: Applicants are expected to help work in the warehouse distribution center to arrange slabs using a forklift and load customer vehicles with slabs when they pickup materials/slabs
Qualifications:
- Truck Driver with Class C license, who can drive a Ford F550 flatbed or similar small truck.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Previous experience as a truck driver required (At least 3 years of trucking experience)
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of long-distance driving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Forklift experience for warehouse work required
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Experience with unloading containers is a PLUS
