Overview and Compensation: Experienced Direct Support Professional needed for occasional day and evening Community Habilitation (Com Hab) shifts. The position involves working one-on-one with a young man with Autism in home and community-based settings and is an OPWDD Self Direction funded program. The selected candidate will join a well-established program and receive comprehensive initial training and ongoing guidance from clinical experts in a supportive and team-oriented atmosphere. Competitive hourly rate, and opportunities to expand to 30 hours per week guaranteed compensation after completing initial training! Benefits eligible at 30 hours per week. Door-to-door transportation is provided to and from all community classes and outings (no MTA). Meals or meal allowance provided during shifts.

Hours and location: Position requires daytime, evening and weekend availability. Family is located in Upper Manhattan.
Additional requirements: Position is subject to OPWDD background check and requires minimum one-year prior experience working with individuals with autism and/or developmental disabilities.
