Essential Pest Control is one of Tucson's fastest growing pest control firms. We are now looking to hire service technicians. Experience is a plus but not required. We will train anyone that is willing to learn. All applicants that have a desire to work hard and be a member of our team will be considered. We are a Quality Pro company and only accept applicants who have a neat appearance, able to pass a background check, pass a drug screen, and have a clean driving record.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to our customer by communicating pest conditions, treatment options, and product expectations
- Adhere to company policies and requirements regarding treatment procedures and site safety in the performance of all job duties, including but not limited to: lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, fall prevention, personal protective equipment, use of power tools, and follow guidelines of the Arizona Department of Agriculture Pest Management Division and OSHA
- Complete daily appointments, maintain accurate and legible work orders
- Maintain personal equipment and adhere to vehicle policy and Arizona Department of Agriculture Pest Management Division guidelines
- Apply pre and post-emergent herbicides to keep customer's property free of weeds
- Apply termiticide at customer property and keep the property termite-free
- Communicate with direct supervisor
- Other task assigned by management
- Apply pesticides to keep homes pest free
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read a chemical label and safety data sheet and follow instructions to properly mix and apply products
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to establish trust, credibility and rapport with peers and customers
- Excellent time management skills required
- Ability to work alone and with others
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and crawl under homes and in attics for inspections
- Able to climb and use ladders
- Drive a standard vehicle
- Must be 21 yrs of age or older- provide a clean driving record
- Proficient with hand tools, job related specialty tools and power tools
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record throughout employment
- Must be able to pass a criminal background screening and drug test
- Flexible schedule and be able to work some weekends if needed
- Licensed by Arizona Department of Agriculture Pest Management Division is a plus
