General Landscape Contractors (GLC) provides commercial grounds maintenance and snow management services to properties throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. We're growing and looking for an experienced, hands-on Landscape Field Supervisor to lead crews and help us deliver consistent, high-quality results for our commercial clients.
Position Summary
The Landscape Field Supervisor oversees day-to-day landscape maintenance operations across a portfolio of commercial properties. This role is responsible for leading and coaching field crews, ensuring work meets GLC's quality standards, managing equipment and materials, and serving as the primary on-site point of contact for property managers and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of landscape maintenance crews across multiple commercial properties
- Conduct regular site walks and quality inspections; address deficiencies proactively
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members; enforce safety protocols and company standards
- Serve as the on-site liaison for property managers, communicating updates, addressing concerns, and identifying enhancement opportunities
- Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance or repairs; manage material and supply needs
- Support snow and ice management operations during winter season, including crew deployment and site readiness
- Track labor hours, production rates, and job costing; report progress to management
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations
- Assist with estimating, scope changes, or enhancement opportunities identified in the field
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Strong working knowledge of turf care, plant health, irrigation basics, and seasonal maintenance practices
- Experience with snow and ice management operations preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL a plus
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, plows, etc.)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for scheduling, reporting, and communication tools
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Pesticide/fertilizer application license a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including early mornings, evenings, and winter shifts as needed

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
