Job Description:
The Production Technician supports field operations by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of oil and gas production equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operations. This role is responsible for maintaining production facilities in a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Company’s operational, environmental, and safety standards. The position requires strong technical aptitude, the ability to work independently in a field-based environment, and effective coordination with operations, maintenance, and support teams to minimize downtime and optimize production performance.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on oilfield experience with a background in roles such as Lease Operator, Pumper, Production Technician, or similar field positions
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
- Safety-focused mindset with a strong commitment to following procedures
- Dependable candidates who are willing to support callouts and changing field needs
- Local candidates familiar with the West Texas / Permian Basin production environment are preferred
This role is for a large oil and gas company in Denver City, Texas and is a 12-month contract with extension with an hourly pay rate of $26.00 per hour.
