Are you looking to launch a long-term career in logistics and supply chain management? We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Management Trainee to join our Houston drayage operations team.
In this role, you will start from the ground up, learning the ins and outs of drayage dispatching. With structured hands-on training, you will be fast-tracked toward an Assistant Trucking Manager position. No prior dispatching experience is required—we will train the right candidate who possesses strong communication skills and a leadership mindset.
Key Responsibilities (Training Provided)
- Dispatch Operations: Learn to coordinate, schedule, and dispatch containers from Houston ports and rail ramps.
- Driver Communication: Maintain constant contact with drivers to provide instructions, track status, and resolve on-the-road issues.
- Customer Service: Provide timely updates to clients regarding their shipments and container status.
- Data Entry & Tracking: Utilize dispatch software to log container movements, per diem, and chassis fees.
- Management Tracking: Shadow the management team to learn fleet compliance, driver retention, and operational problem-solving.
What We Are Looking For
- Languages: Bilingual English/Chinese is highly preferred to effectively communicate with our team members.
- Experience: None required! This is an entry-level position. A background in customer service, retail, or hospitality translates well.
- Skills: Strong multi-tasking abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a professional demeanor.
- Mindset: A strong desire to learn, grow, and step into a leadership/management role.
