Grace Lutheran Preschool is seeking a full-time Preschool Teacher/Teacher's Aide for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualifications include a BS in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education and a Private Academic Certificate, or a BS in a related Human Services field with experience working with preschool-aged children. Candidates must be available Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45. The position begins in late August and ends in May. The position offers competitive pay rates and a sign-on bonus. Responsibilities
- Develop developmentally appropriate lessons for preschool children based on a monthly theme
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.)
- Complete Fall and Spring Conference Forms for Parent-Teacher Conferences
- Communicate with parents regularly via brightwheel app and in person
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher’s aide
Skills
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Certification in child CPR
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
