American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Joplin, MO, requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and active MO or compact RN license.

Work in the Emergency Department of a Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 2 Stroke Center, and Level 2 STEMI Center
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Weekends required as needed

Floating required as needed

EMR: Epic

13-week contract

Active MO or compact RN license required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC — if not ACLS or PALS certified, completion is required within 6 months of start date

Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in Emergency Department/ER

No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)

Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; exemptions must be client-approved

All certifications must be active at the start of the assignment with no expirations within the first 30 days, unless documentation of a scheduled renewal is provided

Black scrubs required

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
-
Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after completion, a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required

Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted but must be made up during the assignment

Excellent customer service skills and adaptability in a complex, high-acuity environment are strongly preferred
