Physical Therapist (PT) – School-Based Pediatric Rehabilitation
iDEAL HIRE is hiring a new Physical Therapist (PT) for our client, a leading provider of educational and health services in the school system. This is a temporary contract role, working in Bunnell, FL, offering a starting pay rate of $42/hr.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct individual physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to assess students’ gross motor skills, mobility, and functional independence.
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans aligned with each student’s IEP or 504 plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in school settings, including classrooms and therapy rooms.
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, therapists, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into daily routines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to educational planning and goal setting.
- Train school staff and caregivers on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment, mobility aids, and safe transfer practices.
- Travel between multiple school sites within the district to serve students effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, sessions, and progress notes.
- Support professional development initiatives related to pediatric and school-based therapy.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned to support student success and program goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid Florida Physical Therapy licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in pediatric or school-based therapy settings preferred.
- Knowledge of child development, gross motor functions, adaptive equipment, and mobility aids.
- Familiarity with educational laws and regulations such as IDEA, 504 Plans, and IEP processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and students.
- Organizational skills to manage documentation, caseloads, and multiple school environments.
- Flexibility to travel between school sites and adapt to varying settings.
- Physical stamina for lifting, transferring, and positioning children and equipment.
