Requirements:
-
Minimum of 2 years construction experience
-
Knowledge of at least one building trade and capable of performing that work without supervision

Basic Ability to read blueprints and specifications
-
Must be a licensed driver with reliable transportation to and from job sites

Meet the requirements to be able to drive company vehicles
-
Has a general knowledge and ability to use small tools

OSHA 30 Certification

Physical Requirements
-
Frequently stand and walk on construction sites for extended periods of time.
-
Ability to traverse uneven terrain, mud, gravel, trenches, stairs, ladders, and other construction-related surfaces.
-
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb as necessary to perform work.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, humidity, and exposure to typical construction-site conditions.

Lift and carry up to 25 pounds and, on occasion, up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to maintain visual awareness of construction activities and recognize potential safety hazards.

Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone while working in a noisy construction environment.
Responsibilities:
General

Attend and participate fully in Internal Mavin Company meetings

Quarterly Meetings

Team Development Meetings
Administrative

Coordinate with superintendent to ensure time is input correctly each pay period

Complete expense report when applicable

Assist superintendent with paperwork as requested
Pre Construction

Participate in Kickoff Meeting if applicable

Assist superintendent in setting up jobsite

Construction
-
Assist superintendent with maintaining a safe culture and job site

Enforce and comply with all company and project-required safety policies and procedures

Ensure all equipment and tools are properly operating and maintained

Ensure all appropriate PPE is available for each respective task
-
Ensure jobsite is clean and organized
- Supervise and participate in various construction activities as assigned.

Perform basic mathematical calculations and layout for general construction activities

Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications and operation guides

Utilize a variety of hand/power tools and equipment

Load, unload, and maneuver a variety of materials, equipment, and tools

Instruct and direct construction and maintenance employees as required.

Assist superintendent in ensuring work is installed in accordance with contract documents and meets quality standards

Assist in troubleshooting and proactively solving issues

Assist superintendent in accomplishing their self-imposed punch list prior to OAC punchlist
