Sunday Leadership (7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.)
Prepare classrooms and ministry spaces before families arrive.
Welcome, encourage, and support volunteers throughout the morning.
Address needs and fill ministry gaps as they arise.
Reset classrooms and ministry spaces after services.
Midweek Ministry Preparation (2–3 hours)
Schedule volunteers.
Clean, organize, and reset classrooms for the coming Sunday.
Set out curriculum, supplies, and classroom materials for each age group.
Email curriculum and any important updates to volunteers before Sunday.
Restock classroom supplies as needed and communicate maintenance or supply needs.
Ensure ministry spaces are welcoming, safe, and ready for families.
Volunteer Leadership (2–3 hours).
Ongoing recruitment of new volunteers
Follow up with prospective volunteers and onboard new volunteers
Encourage, appreciate, and care for volunteers through personal connection
Develop volunteer leaders who can take ownership of ministry areas
Delegate responsibilities and empower others to lead
Meet regularly with Outpost staff and ministry leaders.
Collaborate to solve challenges and celebrate wins.
Partner with or support Outpost events
Take ownership of ensuring that volunteer teams are healthy and classrooms are prepared.
Anticipate needs and solve problems proactively.
Follow through on commitments.
