Overview
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) and Registered Nurses (RN) to join our pediatric private duty nursing team. In this role, you will provide direct, private duty nursing care to medically fragile pediatric patients in their homes. You will work closely with families, physicians, and care teams to ensure each child receives safe, high-quality, and personalized clinical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, one-on-one nursing care to medically complex pediatric patients in the home setting
- Monitor and assess patients' health status, vital signs, and changes in condition; notify physician/supervisor as appropriate
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
- Operate and monitor medical equipment such as ventilators, feeding pumps, tracheostomies, G-tube, and oxygen therapy
- Perform skilled nursing procedures such as tracheostomy care and suctioning, G-tube care, enteral feeding
- Document all patient care, observations, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate families and caregivers on care procedures, safety measures, and patient needs
- Respond promptly to patient and family concerns with a calm, professional approach
- Maintain compliance with agency policies, physician orders, and state/federal regulations
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards at all times
Requirements
LVN Requirements
- Current, active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of Texas
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Valid Identification and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
RN Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
- CPR/BLS certification (current);
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
