Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging Montessori-based lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 3 to 6 years old
- Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages independence, respect, and responsibility among students
- Utilize curriculum development techniques to support literacy education, math, and overall development
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive guidance and behavior management strategies
- Support early intervention efforts by identifying individual learning needs and collaborating with specialists when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, including assessments and family conferences
- Ensure compliance with state licensing rules at all times
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's growth, milestones, and classroom activities
- Incorporate child development instruction methods that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and physical coordination
Qualifications
- Montessori certification for ages 3-6 preferred but not required. **WE WILL TRAIN**
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, preferably within private schools or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management approaches
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that integrate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning
- Prior classroom experience in preschool teaching or Montessori environments is highly desirable

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
