A Boardman Quality Inspector will perform the below job duties:
- Perform all daily duties listed herein with professionalism and integrity.
- Layout inspections
- Fit-up inspections
- In-process weld inspections
- Review drawing notes and inspection test plan (ITP)
- Schedule client inspectors for hold points on ITP
- Schedule Authorized Inspector for hold points on ITP
- Perform/review inspections for MT, PT, RT, Brinell hardness, hydrostatic testing
- Communicate with all Boardman employees and client inspectors with professionalism and respect.
- Maintain a great attitude and take ownership of mistakes.
- Maintain current documents status with which inspections are made for each project.
- Record welder ID’s for all welded joints and heat #’s for all material.
- Provide inspections based on fabrication needs in a timely fashion.
- Maintain reports for all in-process inspections and NDE performed.
- Maintain “as-built” drawings with all dimensions and material verified for final data book.
- Create and maintain organized data books and compile information progressively for all assigned projects.
- Perform final inspections completely and thoroughly and document with reports and photographs
- All reports and photographs shall be electronically saved to the correct folder on the server throughout the project.
- Schedule client inspectors and provide them with all required documentation for their review.
- Provide support for all client inspectors while performing their inspections.
Experience with Microsoft systems is required (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience and certifications in non-destructive examinations (VT, MT, PT, RT, UTT, UTSW) is preferred but not required.
