Minimum Education and Skills:
- CT State Licensure in Dental Hygiene, Local Anesthesia License, CPR Certified Current in OSHA required certifications
- Detail oriented and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively handle multiple tasks
- Self-motivated with the ability to exceed patient expectations
- Experience with Dentrix and Dexis Software
- 1-3 years of work experience preferred, but new graduates will be highly considered
Responsibilities:
- Possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills required to form long-lasting, authentic relationships with patients.
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene exams, oral cancer screenings, periodontal charting and airway assessments.
- Perform periodontal scaling and root planing and administer local anesthesia.
- Provide oral hygiene instructions and patient education regarding dental needs and recommendations.
- Take accurate digital dental x-rays and panoramic x-rays.
- Provide the highest level of science based care to our patients.
