Position Overview
We are looking for an Automation / Electro-Mechanical Technician with hands-on assembly experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable using basic hand and power tools, reading simple drawings or instructions, assembling mechanical components, and wiring electrical devices such as sensors, lights, cameras, controllers, and other automation components.
You do not need to be an expert in automation or machine vision, but you must be reliable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components, frames, brackets, fixtures, panels, and machine parts
- Perform electrical wiring for automation systems, sensors, lights, cameras, controllers, and related components
- Route, label, and organize cables and wiring neatly
- Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
- Read and follow basic mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions
- Assist with machine builds, testing, troubleshooting, and customer installations
- Keep tools, parts, hardware, and work areas organized
- Help prepare systems for shipment or delivery
- Support engineers and senior team members with hands-on build tasks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional shop environment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on assembly experience in any relevant field
- Comfortable using basic tools such as drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, calipers, wire strippers, crimpers, and other shop tools
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble parts accurately
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring or willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and diagrams
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained
- Ability to lift and move parts, tools, and equipment as needed
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Preferred Experience
- Electrical panel wiring
- Machine building or automation assembly
- Working with sensors, cameras, lights, motors, pneumatics, or PLC-related components
- Reading mechanical drawings or electrical schematics
- Manufacturing, machine shop, robotics, industrial maintenance, or field service experience
