EARLY CHILDHOOD & FAMILY EDUCATOR
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide training & support to early educators based on the training curriculum identified by Modoc Nation Behavioral Health. Host a minimum of 4 of these training courses per year.
2. Provide training/support to providers in our community.
3. Develop & host a bi-monthly parent support group for families in the community.
4. Track all applicable data related to grant activities & submit data to appropriate individuals.
5. Work alongside Behavioral Health Providers (BHP) to provide case management (referrals, advocacy, & linkage) & life skills coaching to help clients & families meet treatment goals.
6. Complete clinical documentation within 48 hours of service delivery.
7. Connect clients with resources to meet needs identified throughout treatment progression.
8. Co-facilitate group sessions with BHP to provide opportunities for client engagement & positive social activities that promote mental health & wellness skills.
9. Implement & develop life skills coaching in individual sessions &/or groups (anger management skills, coping strategies, healthy communication, boundary setting, etc.) with identified clients to improve client’s ability to manage their own mental health & recovery.
10. Provide transportation to clients in personal &/or company vehicles, as needed.
11. Participate in experiential therapies & activities, such as nature-based, art, play, etc.
12. Ensure compliance with HIPAA & other confidentiality regulations in all aspects of job duties.
13. Attend ongoing training & consultation to further develop skillset.
14. Staff & support outreach activities as required.
15. Attend All – Staff meetings & all other meetings as required.
16. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Preferred bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
2. 3 years’ experience in behavioral health or related field preferred.
3. Must have a valid driver’s license free of major driving infractions.
4. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening & background check.
5. Must provide documentation of covid vaccination status or request exemption based on qualifying factors.
Compensation: $40,000 – $55,000 annual salary plus fringe benefits with the opportunity for biannual bonus.
Location: This position will primarily operate from ABC/Healing House, though travel will be required to off – site locations.
Schedule: This employee shall maintain regular business hours (40 hours per week).
Supervision: This position will operate under direct supervision of the ABC Therapy Program Supervisor.
