Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Crew Member - Front Counter, where you'll be the friendly face and efficient operator at the heart of our food service operation. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their food orders at the front counter
- Operate POS systems such as Speedline POS and to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Manage customer transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and retail sales
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Prepare simple food items following safety and quality standards, ensuring quick service delivery
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing counters, utensils, and equipment regularly
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed diligently, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Operate kitchen equipment safely when assisting with food preparation or assembly
- Manage customer inquiries professionally, providing excellent service to foster repeat business
- Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness of the front counter area and dining space
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurant environments preferred; food industry experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to handle cash register operations accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and giving correct change
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with operating kitchen equipment is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
- Retail sales experience or grocery store background is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
