Overview

This position includes but is not limited to simple plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs, painting, making units rent ready and general building maintenance to include climbing tall ladders and walking stairs. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to address issues promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain facilities equipment such as lighting fixtures, plumbing systems, and HVAC units, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with interior building maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry repairs, and drywall work to uphold the community’s aesthetic standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters and schematics; repair or replace electrical equipment as needed.
- Support plumbing system maintenance including leak repairs, pipe replacements, and drain cleaning to ensure water flow and safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident requests or concerns related to maintenance issues.
- Assist with small projects while adhering to safety protocols; collaborate with team members to prioritize urgent repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential or facilities maintenance with knowledge of simple electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and general mechanical repairs.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in facilities equipment maintenance and repair operations (MRO).
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and resident interactions.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork is essential.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours with availability for emergency response if needed; physical ability to perform manual tasks regularly.
