Your role as Health Services Manager:
The health services manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in the planning, coordinating and managing of nursing services and health education of residents and staff on their assigned neighborhoods.
Essential Functions

- Responsible for assisting with the nursing services and its administration and clinical supervision. Ensure care plans are up to date and participate in care plan meetings as assigned. Conduct routine chart audits, reports findings to Director of Nursing. Provides process improvements to resolve trend findings.
- Responsible for assisting with the implementation of nursing objectives, standards of nursing care and policy. Creates and presents staff education as assigned.
- Interprets all nursing policies and procedures to assigned nursing staff. Ensures nursing care standards and policies are being followed.
- Communicates with Director of Nursing, schedules and conducts nursing staff meetings for assigned staff.
- Ensures proper staffing ratios for assigned neighborhood working in conjunction with Staffing Coordinator.
- Assist with admissions and discharges as assigned.
- Participates in and/or leads teams including, but not limited to, wound, infection control, Med A, 5 Star and QA.
- Conducts human resource function for assigned staff, working in conjunction with Director of Nursing and Director of Human Resources.
- Review resident and family concerns and complaints, respond in a timely, professional manner.
- In the absence of the Director of Nursing, will lead assigned nursing staff.
- Performs on-call duty one weekend per month or two depending on number of nurses in call rotation. Charges assigned neighborhood as needed.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team as required.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed Practical Nurse with current state licensure.
- 2 years of nursing experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
- Long-term care experience.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has overall supervisory responsibility for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, certified nursing assistants, certified medical technicians of assigned staff.
Work Environment
This job operates in a nursing home setting. This role requires regular walking to various neighborhoods around the building. This role routinely is exposed to common healthcare conditions, noise, chemicals etc. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require holiday or work during inclement weather.
