Overview

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case strategies and legal opinions.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files and document review processes utilizing document management systems like Smokeball.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, creating timelines, and summarizing case facts.
- Perform data entry and maintain meticulous records of case activities, court deadlines, and client communications.
- Support administrative functions including filing documents with courts or agencies, scheduling appointments, and managing communication via phone etiquette.
- Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as part of fact-finding efforts for various legal cases.
- Stay informed on procedural law requirements.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of procedural law and experience in multiple practice areas, litigation, criminal defense and family law.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Smokeball.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy.
- Effective interviewing techniques to gather relevant case information from clients or witnesses.
- Project management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with legal administrative support tasks including data entry, filing systems, document review, transcription services, and clerical duties.
- Organizational skills that enable managing multiple cases simultaneously with professionalism and precision.
- Knowledge of contracts and procedural rules applicable across various jurisdictions; ability to adapt quickly to different legal frameworks.
- Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

Pay: $51,493.32 - $62,013.46 per year
