Registered Nurse – Home Health / Private Duty Nursing
Compassion First, LLC is seeking a dependable, compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to clients in their homes. The RN will work with clients, families, physicians and the agency’s clinical team to carry out individualized plans of care.
This position is ideal for an RN who values one-on-one patient care, flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Complete initial and ongoing nursing assessments in the client’s home.
- Develop, review and update individualized plans of care.
- Provide skilled nursing services within the RN’s scope of practice.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Monitor changes in the client’s condition and report concerns promptly.
- Educate clients and family members regarding medications, treatments, safety and ongoing care.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate with physicians, caregivers and other members of the care team.
- Perform supervisory visits and oversee LPNs and CNAs when assigned.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, HIPAA and agency policies.
- Participate in care coordination, reassessments and quality-assurance activities.
- Travel to clients’ homes within the assigned service area.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
- Home health, private-duty, pediatric or community-based nursing experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in clients’ homes.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
- Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening and employment verification.
Schedule
- Part-time, PRN or full-time opportunities based on client needs and availability.
- Approximately 20–40 hours per week.
- Day, evening, overnight and weekend assignments may be available.
- Flexible scheduling.
Compensation
- $44.00–$53.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and assignment.
- Referral incentives may be available.
