Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Worker to join our team at our Forensics Facility in Butler County. This position operates within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, providing person-centered support, daily living assistance, skill building, and recovery-focused care for adult men with mental health diagnoses in a secure residential forensic setting. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while supporting stability, wellness, behavioral health recovery, and continuity of care.
Qualifications:

Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Ability to cook, clean, organize, and maintain a safe, structured environment

Ability to set and enforce appropriate behavioral expectations and boundaries
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
-
Must possess maturity, confidence, and emotional stability when working with individuals in behavioral health and secure care settings

Physical ability to implement Managing Crisis Safely (MCS) interventions, including lifting up to 85 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and stoop as required to assist in consumer care during shifts

Must become Medication Assistance Certified (MAC) upon hire to assist with medications and delegated nursing tasks

Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities:
-
Provide daily supervision, support, and skill-building services for adult men with mental health diagnoses in a secure residential forensic setting

Support consumers with daily living activities including cooking, cleaning, organization, routines, and life skills development

Maintain a safe, structured, therapeutic, and secure environment that supports recovery, behavioral stability, and person-centered care

Set and enforce appropriate behavioral expectations and boundaries to maintain safety and program structure

Implement Managing Crisis Safely (MCS) interventions as necessary to maintain safety for consumers and staff

Assist with medications and other delegated nursing tasks as assigned

Collaborate with clinical staff and multidisciplinary team members to support individualized treatment goals, rehabilitation, and continuity of care within the CCBHC care model

Maintain accurate documentation, professionalism, confidentiality, and a recovery-focused approach to service delivery

Support transportation needs for consumers as appropriate and in accordance with program operations
Work Environment:

Work directly with adult men receiving behavioral health services in a secure residential forensic setting

Support individuals with mental health diagnoses in a structured environment focused on safety, rehabilitation, and recovery
