Electrical Technician – Critical Infrastructure

Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days & Nights)

About the Opportunity
We're working with a rapidly growing AI infrastructure company that operates one of North America's largest high-performance computing facilities.
This is an opportunity to join the operations team supporting a 350MW mission-critical data centre, helping maintain the electrical infrastructure that powers next-generation AI technology.
You'll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of critical electrical systems, ensuring maximum uptime across a highly resilient facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults across critical infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain switchgear, UPS systems, generators, transformers and associated equipment.
- Carry out switching operations in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete inspections, testing and equipment rounds.
- Respond to alarms and support emergency response activities.
- Update maintenance records using CMMS.
- Work closely with mechanical, controls and operations teams to maximise facility reliability.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures, LOTO requirements and company policies.
What We're Looking For
- Experience maintaining industrial or mission-critical electrical systems.
- Background within data centres, manufacturing, utilities, power generation, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, semiconductor, commercial facilities or similar critical environments.
- Experience with equipment such as:
- Switchgear
- UPS systems
- Generators
- Transformers
- MV/LV electrical distribution
- Electrical panels and breakers
- Comfortable working in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team.
Preferred
- Journeyman Electrician or equivalent electrical qualification.
- Experience within critical facilities or data centres.
- Experience using CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, LOTO and electrical safety standards.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
