Job Summary for Canna Club LLC
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Distribution & Accounting Specialist to join our cannabis operations team in Aurora, Colorado.
This position combines cannabis product distribution and inventory coordination with key accounting responsibilities, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, collections, invoicing, payment tracking, and account reconciliation.
The ideal candidate understands cannabis products and current wholesale pricing, is comfortable working with numbers and accounting software, and can independently manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a self-starter who takes ownership of their work, follows through on outstanding items, and pays close attention to details.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist with wholesale cannabis product distribution.
- Maintain familiarity with cannabis products, brands, product categories, and current wholesale market pricing.
- Prepare and track customer invoices and outstanding balances.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices.
- Perform professional and consistent collections activities by phone, email, and account follow-up.
- Record customer payments and ensure accounts are accurately updated.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including entering vendor invoices and tracking payment obligations.
- Review invoices, purchase orders, payments, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
- Assist with account reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks.
- Create and maintain reports using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- Track wholesale orders, customer balances, payments, credits, and outstanding invoices.
- Communicate with customers regarding orders, pricing, invoices, payments, and account issues.
- Work with management and sales teams to resolve billing and collection issues.
- Maintain organized digital and physical accounting and distribution records.
- Assist with basic accounting and financial reporting as needed.
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on delinquent accounts.
- Help ensure information between distribution, sales, customers, vendors, and accounting remains accurate and up to date.
- Identify errors or inconsistencies and take initiative to resolve them.
- Perform additional administrative, accounting, and distribution duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Experience using QuickBooks.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related experience.
- Experience with customer collections and following up on past-due accounts.
- Familiarity with cannabis products and the Colorado cannabis market.
- Understanding of current cannabis wholesale pricing is strongly preferred.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and recordkeeping abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative.

Compensation
Starting salary: $40,000 per year
Compensation growth is available based on performance, expanded responsibilities, and demonstrated ability to independently manage distribution, AR, AP, and collections.
