We are seeking a passionate and energetic Piano Teacher to inspire students of all ages to explore and excel in the art of piano playing. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive piano curricula tailored to students’ skill levels and learning goals
- Deliver engaging, interactive lessons that promote musical understanding, technique, and performance skills
- Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure a positive, disciplined learning atmosphere
- Develop creative lesson plans that incorporate music theory, sight-reading, improvisation, and performance preparation
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to motivate improvement
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans in compliance with program standards
Skills
- Proven experience teaching piano and working with diverse age groups, especially children and youth programs
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for beginner to advanced levels
- Excellent classroom management skills to foster a respectful and motivating environment
- Ability to teach visual & performing arts with creativity and enthusiasm
- Skilled in working with students on instrumental performance techniques and music theory fundamentals
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and special education accommodations as needed
- Competence in lesson planning that integrates arts education across multiple disciplines such as photography or sewing for holistic artistic development
- Effective behavior management strategies to support childhood development and foster positive learning experiences
- Passion for teaching arts—music, dance, theater—and inspiring lifelong appreciation for creative expression
