A Grocery Picker Shift 2 in our Duluth, MN Distribution center operates a battery-powered picking machine, either a floor pallet jack or a high lift machine. The picking order is software driven. A picker wears a headset to hear and carry out operations given as voice commands. A person doing this job will physically lift and place case goods on a pallet and confirm by voice that the pick is complete. Full pallets will be shrink-wrapped by the picker, labeled, and staged for distribution.
This position is Monday through Friday.
- This position requires an employee to be able to stand, walk, lift and bend throughout their entire shift.
- Employees must be able to physically handle grocery items with typical weights 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to hear and respond to computer voice commands
- Must be able to speak clearly.
- Work shifts include late night/ early morning hours.
