Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and community environments. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status; report findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences; ensure proper food safety and hygiene practices.
- Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies for individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia; engage them in meaningful activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and infection control procedures.
- Document care activities meticulously in care plans, including medication administration, patient observations, and progress notes.
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers; assist with heavy lifting when necessary.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment; promote social engagement within the community or home setting.
- Follow all safety protocols during emergency situations by administering first aid or CPR when needed; coordinate with emergency responders as required.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring.
- Experience providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s or dementia.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and care planning processes.
- Hands-on experience using caregiving tools like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Background in long-term care or hospice settings is a plus; certification in CPR and first aid is required.

Pay: $15.75 - $18.25 per hour
