Duties
- Take dogs on engaging walks, ensuring proper leash handling and safety protocols are followed
- Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medications, and maintaining routines
- Monitor pets’ behavior and health during visits, recognizing signs of distress or illness
- Maintain detailed records of pet activities, behaviors, and any health concerns observed
Skills
- Strong animal handling skills with experience in dog training and pet sitting
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures and veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively
- Experience with dog handling techniques to ensure calmness and safety during walks or interactions
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate confidently with pet owners
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., assisting larger dogs or equipment)
- Familiarity with animal care best practices, kennel experience, and pet grooming techniques
