Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst / Cycle Counter to support inventory accuracy and material tracking within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for conducting warehouse and point-of-use inventory counts, researching discrepancies, completing material movement transactions, and assisting with daily inventory reporting.
The ideal candidate is comfortable using handheld scanners and computer systems, has strong attention to detail, and takes initiative when identifying and resolving inventory issues. This role requires someone who can work independently while contributing effectively to a team-focused production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct warehouse cycle counts and point-of-use inventory counts.
- Research and reconcile lost, found, or mismatched inventory.
- Perform material movement transactions using handheld scanners and computer systems.
- Stock materials, pick parts, and audit inventory locations.
- Verify inventory quantities and locations for accuracy.
- Identify, document, and communicate material discrepancies.
- Assist with researching inventory issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Support daily inventory tracking and reporting activities.
- Maintain accurate material movement and inventory records.
- Work effectively within a team environment with limited supervision.
- Follow all company safety, inventory, and material handling procedures.
- Complete additional inventory, material handling, and production support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 6 months of computer usage experience required.
- Ability to use handheld scanners and computers to complete material movement transactions.
- Ability to read and follow standard work instructions.
- Ability to complete required continuous improvement documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and communicate inventory discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable with the ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to active production and material handling operations.
- Frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand and work for up to 8-hour shifts.
- Ability to work at multiple heights and climb material handling equipment as required.
- Frequent grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and rotating movements.
- Ability to squat, twist, reach overhead, and work in tight or awkward spaces.
- Exposure to changing temperatures and industrial noise levels of 85 dB or greater.
- Limited exposure to welding fumes.
- Exposure to magnets that may impact certain medical devices.
- Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed/metatarsal footwear, bump caps, and material-handling or fall-protection equipment as required.
