Job Description:
The Land Technician will provide technical and clerical administrative support to the Land and Regulatory Departments. This candidate should be able to communicate well and be comfortable with handling multiple requests professionally. The ideal candidate will have strong land, title and data analytical skills as well as a great attention to detail. This individual will be able to understand the Company’s land focus for each project area and assist the Land Manager by working with common land functions such as internet based subscription and public land databases/software, title orders, division orders, lease brokerage reports, proposal letters/elections and researching working and revenue interests using such materials and data. .
The essential job duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Duties:
- Produce reports and documents for daily/monthly reporting
- Coordinate with regulatory manager to analyze and report production data
- Assist in preparing various oil and gas agreements, contracts, forms, proposals and legal documents.
- Assist in filing Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico state and BLM related regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with Land Manager to produce and organize acquisition and divestiture land files
- Keep land records systems up to date with internal and regulatory requirements
- Maintain acreage, well status and lease expirations tracking
- Prepare Division Order Transfers
- Compile land, title, well and production research from the following sources:
o Enverus, IHS and Oseberg and related database software
o State of New Mexico OCD and Land Office records
o New Mexico Basin Land Records
o Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Pangaea and OK County Records
o Texas Railroad Commission and TX Land Records
o Bureau of Land Management records
o Accurint
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree and 1-3 years’ experience in oil and gas related industry OR 3+ years’ experience in oil and gas land/title tech related industry .
- Proficient in MS Office/365 Suite
- ARC GIS experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage workload in a professional manner with a sense of urgency
- Strong organizational skills preferred
