- Student Employment at DigiPen is open to all currently matriculated students if they meet the qualifications for the job.
- Students may not work during any time when they have a class scheduled, a class is canceled, or a class ends early.
- Student workers must reside within the State of Washington. Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted.
Reports to: Pamela Mathues
Job Purpose: Assist FLM-225 students with understanding assignments, fielding questions, providing feedback and be available for a set number of hours outside of class.
Class times:
Wednesday – 5:00 - 7:50 p.m.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise students regarding Storyboarding topics
- Be able to answer questions during class labs when faculty is not available
- Be available for a set number of hours outside of regular class time
- Assist in managing the Chat during any online lectures
- Work within Teams channels to offer critique and feedback
- Assist with Storyboard Pro issues as directed by the faculty
- Provide encouragement and advice based on personal experience with FLM-225
- Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked
Qualifications/Competencies
- Successfully completed FLM-225 (previously called ART-350)
- Comfortable with multiple aspects of the Story pipeline
- Have experience with Storyboard Pro or similar
- Able to give critique in a professional manner
- Strong communicator
- Reliable, punctual, and invested in the success of their fellow students
- Be able to work independently
Expected dates of employment: July 31 - December 12, 2026
Expected number of hours per week: 8
Wage Range:
$17.13 - $18.25 per hour, depending on number of terms worked at DigiPen
Working Conditions:
- Be able to attend most of the class times.
- Be able to meet with students outside of class.
DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements:
- Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Have taken and passed FLM-225 or ART-350 with a B or better
Requirement Exceptions:
It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!
Once you have applied for – and the supervisor decides to offer you – a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived. Once the Waiver is returned to us, we'll continue you through the hiring process.
