As a Construction Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems while adhering to strict safety standards and project specifications. Your expertise will help ensure our projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.
Duties
- Install, repair, and replace roofing materials including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and other specialized systems according to project plans and schematics
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute roofing layouts and installations
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fastening roofing components
- Safely operate ladders and utilize construction safety harnesses to work at heights while following all construction workplace safety regulations
- Perform siding installation, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work, and other related exterior finishing tasks as needed
- Conduct roofing repairs and restoration work with precision to ensure long-lasting results
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of outdoor work including heavy lifting, scaffold setup, and working with heavy materials or equipment
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on roofing installation and repair techniques
- Proficiency in construction estimating and reading construction plans or blueprints
- Knowledge of metal stud framing, framing carpentry, drywall installation, and masonry fundamentals
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise execution of projects
- Familiarity with construction safety harnesses, ladder use, fall protection measures, and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels; power tools including drills, saws; welding equipment; tile cutters; caulking guns; fabrication tools; plumbing fixtures; concrete forming tools; and heavy lifting techniques
- Experience with various roofing types including single-ply membrane systems and metal roofing materials
- Strong outdoor work experience with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence in diverse weather conditions
- Ability to perform roof repairs involving tile laying or restoration processes effectively
- Handyman skills including siding installation, trim carpentry, stucco application, welding, plumbing integration, masonry work and remodeling projects
