Position Summary
The PPE Lab Technician is responsible for conducting material and electrical testing on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and related test equipment in accordance with ASTM standards. This role supports the daily operations of the PPE Lab, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with established protocols.
Essential Functions
- Set up and operate test equipment to perform electrical testing per ASTM standards.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and perform all functions within the scope of work.
- Participate in daily lab operations, including safety briefings, equipment maintenance, and timely completion of tasks.
- Accurately record and document test results using required forms and systems.
- Conduct inventory counts for internal and customer stock.
- Follow all safety protocols and operational standards.
- Assist with PPE warehouse organization, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical construction or warehouse operations preferred.
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to machinery, moving parts, enclosed spaces, and heights.
Physical Demands
Regular physical activity including walking, climbing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must wear appropriate safety gear, which may include protective clothing, safety glasses, hard hat, masks, gloves, and shields.
